Eastside Guitar Repair happened to have three clients who needed similar repairs to their vintage instruments. They all needed replica bridge builds. A Martin 00-17, a re-topped Martin D-28E, and a Gibson LG-0. We made faithful reproductions of the existing bridges to vintage spec. The Gibson LG-0 had a plastic bridge and needed the bridge plate patched. The re-topped Martin D-28E's existing bridge had been poorly placed and would not intonate. The Martin 00-17's bridge failed and splintered on the leading edge of the saddle.
